The number of active Internet users in Russia, according to a new report by Public Opinion Foundation, grew to 31.7 million. The share of active users that go on the Internet at least once a day increased from 65% to 69% of total Internet users, the reason for that growth - the intensity of use of the network in comparison with the summer period. According to the FOM, in the autumn Runet monthly audience grew by 6.4%, while daily - by 11,5%. The sixth part of the Russian Internet audience - residents of Moscow and St. Petersburg, but the growth rate in these cities is slowing: the number of metropolitan Internet users has increased over the past year, only 9% growth rate in St. Petersburg for the last quarter amounted to 4%. In both capitals and other cities over one million registered "aging" audience - an increase in the number of users over 45 years. The highest growth rates observed in small towns (population 100 thousand) and in the villages: the order of 10% per quarter or, respectively, 28% and 31% for the year.
