The law "On personal data" is postponed for six months

Operators of personal data received another reprieve: under the new law, approved by President Dmitry Medvedev, a long-suffering 152-FL will be effective from July 1, 2011. Previously it was assumed that the federal law "On personal data" shall enter into force on 1 January 2011. The law, signed by Medvedev, makes changes to Part 3. 25152-FL. According to the document published by "Rossiyskaya Gazeta", the amendment is as follows: "personal data information systems that were created before January 1, 2011, must be brought into compliance with the requirements of federal law no later than July 1, 2011. Changes in the law "On personal data" will take effect January 1, 2011. This is the second "delay", which received the operators of personal data. Initially it was assumed that the 152-FZ will be operational in 2010 (in preparation for the legal requirements for companies and organizations have 3 years). Then the term was extended for 1 year. The new delay - half a year.
