In St. Petersburg, opened XIII Forum small business

Fifteenth day of December in the northern capital of Russia, St. Petersburg opened the eighth forum for small business. Through this conference, representatives of small business have discussed work done in 2010 work. Also, questions were raised about the future development of small businesses in the region. Recall that the opening of the forum was launched with a speech by the mayor of St. Petersburg Valentina Matvienko. In his speech Matvienko noted that today Peter is one of the three leaders in Russia on development of small and medium businesses. All this thanks to established programs to support entrepreneurship. In 2010, the city operated more than 3 000 SMEs. Also the head of the region indicated that a total of Petersburg today has about 16 specialized programs aimed at supporting small and medium businesses. Among them is the direct subsidization of small business grants for beginners in small business, obtaining equipment leasing programs, outsourcing, support in obtaining product certification, etc. So, to support small businesses in St. Petersburg from the city treasury was spent more 620 million rubles, while another 280 million rubles from the state treasury. Incidentally, the same amount from the federal budget from St. Petersburg got a small business, thanks to the victory of the All-Russian competition for small business. Also during the opening forum Matvienko told in detail about the individual programs to support and develop small businesses, to which she brought it to a loyal system for purchase and lease of retail space and facilities for businesses. Regarding plans for next year that, according to the governor, in 2011, programs to support small businesses will continue their work. In particular, the focus will be the implementation of industrial-innovative development of small businesses. This means that small businesses will be involved in the programs of modernization of public institutions, as well as the implementation of global public projects. Matvienko: "We have no other directions as regards the development of small and medium-sized businesses. Only then can we improve the competitiveness and investment attractiveness of the St. Petersburg ".
