Internet access is ready to unite to defend the interests

A very curious statement issued on the basis of the recently held eight Russian Internet Forum (RIF 2004) Organizing Committee of this event. Judging by him, the participants in the domestic Internet industry ripe to start together to defend their interests in governmental and legislative circles. As noted in the statement of the organizing committee, the key players in the market, "an understanding" about the need for coordinated action in several key areas. In particular, they intend to seek recognition of the role of the Internet as a major catalyst for economic growth, the introduction of tax incentives for investment in fixed assets and technology to accelerate the development of the sector, as well as to lobby for laws and regulations against spam. Realized all this would probably be through the creation of a unifying organization - Association of Internet industry.
